(Wisconsin Ag Connection) – Wisconsin corn stocks in all positions on September 1 totaled 112 million bushels.
The latest USDA numbers indicate that this is 55 percent above a year ago and is the fifth largest amount fall stored corn ever. Of the total stocks, 50 percent were stored in on-farm storage facilities.
Soybeans in storage totaled 9.04 million bushels in Wisconsin, 58 percent more than the same period a year earlier.
This is the third highest amount of beans in storage since records began. About 25 percent of those soybeans were stored on-farms.
And oat stocks were about 8.20 million bushels, 22 percent less than the 10.5 million bushels on hand in September 2016. Of the total stocks, 32 percent were stored on-farm.
