Wheat, Corn, Sorghum, Soybean Cash Bids Higher

(High Plains/Midwest Ag Journal) –  Compared to Jan. 29, cash bids for wheat, corn, sorghum, and soybeans were higher, according to the National Grain Market Summary, Jan. 30.

Corn was mostly 2 cents higher. Wheat was mostly 8 cents higher. Sorghum was 4 cents higher, and soybeans were mostly 8 cents higher.

In the futures close, Kansas City March wheat was $4.69 3/4, up 16 3/4 cents.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $4.59 3/4, up 16 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.31, up 2 1/4 cents; Portland, $5.30 to $5.44 1/4, unchanged to up 8 cents; St. Louis, $4.57 to $4.69, up 8 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.46 1/2, up 2 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, unavailable; southern Iowa, $3.36 1/2 to $3.46 1/2, up 2 3/4 to down 1/4 cents; Omaha, $3.42 to $.45, up 3 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.65 1/4 to $9.70 1/4, up 8 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, unavailable; southern Iowa, $9.60 1/4 to $9.63 1/4, up 8 3/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $9.80 1/4 to $9.95 1/4, up 8 3/4 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Jan. 30, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $5.54 3/4 to $5.69 3/4, up 16 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $6.54 3/4 to $6.69 3/4, down 16 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $7.19 3/4 to $7.34 3/4, up 16 3/4 cents; 14% protein, $7.29 3/4 to $7.44 3/4, up 16 3/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
