January milk price increase from Meadow Foods

(Farmers Guardian) – MEADOW Foods will be increasing its producer milk price by 1ppl from January.
This will take the Chester-based firm’s standard litre price to 30.0ppl. The increase will be added to the flat rate element of Meadow’s pricing ensuring all producers receive it.
Executive chairman Simon Chantler said: “The new price reflects the overall increase the company has received back from the market, allowing us to pass on the benefits directly to our own milk producers in a simple straight forward way so all producers benefit.
The increase follows last week’s announcement that Meadow Foods is planning a major expansion of its milk processing and butter production facility at Chester.
