Grain, Soybean Bids Mostly Higher

flour-450x299(High Plains/Midwest Ag Journal) – Grain and soybeans bids were mostly higher today, following the gains in the soy complex, according to the National Grain Market Summary, Nov. 21.

The soy complex saw gains today due to solid demand, as well as worries related to world oilseed production.

Wheat was 2 cents lower to 2 cents higher. Corn was 4 to 8 cents higher. Soybeans were 23 to 27 cents higher.

In the futures close, Kansas City July wheat was $7.26, up 39 cents.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $3.44 1/2, up 3/4 cent; Minneapolis, $5.23 3/4, down 2 3/4 cents; Portland, $4.65 to $4.75 1/4, unchanged to up 2 1/4 cents; St. Louis, $4.13, up 2 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.34 3/4, up 4 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, not available; southern Iowa, $3.33 3/4 to $3.38 3/4, up 5 1/4 to 4 3/4 cents; Omaha, $3.07 to $3.25, up 4 to 8 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.65 1/4 to $9.70 1/4, up 26 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, no quotes; southern Iowa, $9.84 1/4 to $9.95 1/4, up 23 1/2 to 25 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $10.08 1/4 to $10.17 1/4, up 24 1/2 to 23 1/2 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 21, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $4.29 1/2 to $5.09 1/29, up 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $5.14 1/2 to $5.44 1/2, up 10 3/4 to 2 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $5.64 1/2 to $5.79 1/2, up 3/4 cent; 14% protein, $5.69 1/2 to $5.79 1/2, up 3/4 cent. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was $3.60 to $3.65, up 3 to 4 cents.
