(Agriculture.com) – On Monday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start lower.
The early calls for the commodities on Monday, January 26, 2015, are weaker. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents lower, soybeans 4-6 cents lower, and wheat 1-2 cents higher.
In overnight trading, the March corn futures contract traded 2 1/4 cents lower at $3.84 per bushel. March soybean futures traded 5 1/4 cents lower at $9.67 per bushel. The March wheat futures contract traded 1 cent higher at $5.31. For March soybean meal futures, the contract traded $1.10 per short ton lower at $330.40; March soybean oil futures traded $0.29 lower at $31.31.
The outside markets are favorable for Monday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the lower overnight markets.
