(Agriculture.com) – On Wednesday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start higher.
The early calls for the commodities on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, are stronger. Corn is seen opening 2-4 cents higher, soybeans 10-12 cents higher, and wheat 6-8 cents higher.
In overnight trading, the July corn futures contract traded 4 cents higher at $3.58 per bushel. Dec. corn futures traded 4 cents higher at $3.74 per bushel. July soybean futures traded 10 1/4 cents higher at $9.67, while the Nov. soybean futures traded 10 cents higher at $9.37. The July wheat futures contract traded 8 cents higher at $4.96. For July soybean meal futures, the contract traded $3.80 per short ton higher at $324.60; July soybean oil futures traded $0.25 higher at $35.15.
The outside markets are favorable for Wednesday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the higher overnight markets.
