(Agriculture.com) – On Monday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start higher.
The early calls for the commodities on Monday, June 8, 2015, are stronger. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents higher, soybeans 2-4 cents higher, and wheat 2-4 cents higher.
In overnight trading, the July corn futures contract traded 2 cents higher at $3.62 per bushel. Dec. corn futures traded 1 1/2 cents higher at $3.79 per bushel. July soybean futures traded 3 cents higher at $9.40, while the Nov. soybean futures traded 1 3/4 cents higher at $9.14. The July wheat futures contract traded 3 1/4 cents higher at $5.20. For July soybean meal futures, the contract traded $1.60 per short ton higher at $306.50; July soybean oil futures traded $0.35 lower at $34.43.
The outside markets are favorable for Monday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the higher overnight markets.
