Wheat, corn, oat and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; beef and pork prices fall

(The Washington Post) — Grains futures rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 7 cents to $8.4675 a bushel; December corn rose 15 cents to $8.04 a bushel; December oats rose 7.75 cents to $3.7625 a bushel; while November soybeans jumped 36.50 cents to $16.3450 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 0.25 cent to $1.2665 a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.28 cent to $1.4552 a pound; while October lean hogs fell 1.82 cent to 75.60 cents a pound.Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
