Wednesday’s Corn Market Looks Lower, Soybeans Higher

Soybean Harvest 450x299(Agriculture.com) – On Wednesday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start mostly higher.

The early calls for the commodities on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, are mostly stronger. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents lower, soybeans 3-5 cents higher, and wheat 1-3 cents higher.

In overnight trading, the May corn futures contract traded 1 3/4 cents lower at $3.71. May soybean futures traded 4 1/2 cents higher at $9.64.

May wheat futures contract traded 5 3/4 cents higher at $5.02. For May soybean meal futures, the contract traded $1.10 per short ton higher at $314.70, May soybean oil futures traded $0.14 higher at $31.44.

The outside markets are unfavorable for Wednesday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the mostly higher overnight markets.
