Soybeans To Edge Higher Monday

Soybeans take a hit(Agriculture.com) – On Monday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start mostly lower.

The early calls for the commodities on Monday, April 27, 2015, are mostly weaker. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents lower, soybeans 1-2 cents higher, and wheat 1-2 cents lower.

In overnight trading, the May corn futures contract traded 1 3/4 cents lower at $3.63. May soybean futures traded 1 cent higher at $9.70.

May wheat futures contract traded 2 1/4 cents lower at $4.83. For May soybean meal futures, the contract traded $0.60 per short ton lower at $314.00, May soybean oil futures traded $0.03 higher at $31.70.

The outside markets are unfavorable for Monday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the lower overnight markets.
