(Agriculture.com) – On Thursday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start weaker.
The early calls for the commodities on Thursday, December 5, 2013, are lower. Corn is seen opening 2-4 cents lower, soybeans 1-3 cents lower, and wheat 2-4 cents lower.
In overnight trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 3 3/4 cents lower at $4.21 per bushel. January soybean futures traded 3 3/4 cents lower at $13.25. The Dec. wheat futures contract traded 3 3/4 cents lower at $6.43. For Dec. soybean meal futures, the contract traded $0.70 per short ton higher at $447.60; Dec. soybean oil futures traded $0.13 lower at $40.01.
The outside markets are unfavorable for Thursday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the lower overnight markets.
