Farm Markets To Lean Mostly Lower Monday

SoybeanCorn450x299Low50(Agriculture.com) – On Monday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean, and wheat markets are expected to start mostly lower.

The early calls for the commodities on Monday, July 13, 2015, are mostly lower. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents higher, soybeans 2-4 cents lower, and wheat 1-2 cents lower.

In overnight trading, the Sept. corn futures contract traded 1 cent higher at $4.36 per bushel. Dec. corn futures traded 1 3/4 cents higher at $4.46 per bushel.

Aug. soybean futures traded 3 cents lower at $10.29, while the Nov. soybean futures traded 3 1/4 cents lower at $10.19.

The Sept. wheat futures contract traded 1 cent lower at $5.75. For Aug. soybean meal futures, the contract traded $0.70 per short ton lower at $354.90; Aug. soybean oil futures traded $0.14 lower at $32.28.

The outside markets are favorable for Monday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the mostly lower overnight markets.
