(Agriculture.com) – On Monday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start lower.
The early calls for the commodities on Monday, August 31, 2015, are weaker. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents lower, soybeans 7-9 cents lower, and wheat 2-4 cents lower.
In overnight trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 1/2 of a cent lower at $3.74. Nov. soybean futures traded 7 1/4 cents lower at $8.77.
Dec. wheat futures contract traded 3 1/4 cents lower at $4.80. For Dec. soybean meal futures, the contract traded $1.10 per short ton lower at $311.60, Dec. soybean oil futures traded $0.54 lower at $27.63.
The outside markets are favorable for Monday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the lower overnight markets.
