(Agriculture.com) -On Tuesday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start higher.
The early calls for the commodities on Monday, February 17, 2015, are higher. Corn is seen opening 3-5 cents higher, soybeans 9-10 cents higher, and wheat 9-10 cents higher.
In overnight trading, the March corn futures contract traded 3 1/2 cents higher at $3.90 3/4 per bushel. March soybean futures traded 9 cents higher at $9.99. The March wheat futures contract traded 9 1/2 cents higher at $5.42. For March soybean meal futures, the contract traded $4.10 per short ton higher at $336.40; March soybean oil futures traded $0.02 lower at $32.38.
The outside markets are favorable for Tuesday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the higher overnight markets.
