(Agriculture.com) – The early calls for the commodities on Thursday, July 23, 2015, are higher. Corn is seen opening 2-4 cents higher, soybeans 6-8 cents higher, and wheat 4-5 cents higher.
In overnight trading, the Sept. corn futures contract traded 2 1/4 cents higher at $4.05 per bushel. Dec. corn futures traded 1 3/4 cents higher at $4.15 per bushel.
Aug. soybean futures traded 7 1/2 cents higher at $10.28, while the Nov. soybean futures traded 6 cents higher at $10.01.
The Sept. wheat futures contract traded 4 cents higher at $5.20. For Aug. soybean meal futures, the contract traded $2.50 per short ton lower at $366.00; Aug. soybean oil futures traded $0.19 higher at $31.54.
The outside markets are favorable for Thursday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the higher overnight markets.
