(Agriculture.com) – On Tuesday, the CME Group’s corn, soybean and wheat markets are expected to start lower.
USDA March Planting Intentions & Grain Stocks Reports to be released at 11:00am CT.
The early calls for the commodities on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, are weaker. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents lower, soybeans 4-6 cents lower, and wheat 2-4 cents lower.
In overnight trading, the May corn futures contract traded 2 cents lower at $3.92 1/4. May soybean futures traded 4 cents lower at $9.63.
May wheat futures contract traded 4 3/4 cents lower at $5.25 1/2. For May soybean meal futures, the contract traded $1.10 per short ton lower at $321.20, May soybean oil futures traded $0.18 lower at $30.31.
The outside markets are unfavorable for Tuesday’s grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the lower overnight markets.
